The news from Uttarakhand has been coming out repeatedly over the last few years on how Muslims are being targeted but this documentary brings a lot of it together in one place. Referring to incidents like mosque demolition in Haldwani, targeting of muslim shopkeepers under hoax Love Jihad case in Purola, to banning outsiders from entering villages, to targeting of Muslims after a rape case in Nainital - it covers broad themes under which Muslims are being targeted. The legislative aspects was one area that remain untouched but probably for another day. The documentary managed to get bites from the main instigators as well.

But let me share one incident which happened in front of me, in the day time of Uttarakhand main market.
While i was exploring the market, i came across few shops where people started to gather as there was some ruckus between few tourists and the local shop owners. 
After inquiring about the ruckus, it came to my knowledge that few shop owners teased the lady tourists and made derogatory remarks &amp; also objectifying her as she didn’t made the purchase after having a look at the products. She ignored as she was alone but the person next to her got furious and gave a lecture to the shopkeeper to which all the local shopkeepers gathered. Within few minutes, things got heated and the fight began between the guy and the shopkeeper. Soon the other shopkeepers tagged along with sticks &amp; sharp objects to show their support to the shopkeeper &amp; to defend the guy, his family members showed up. 
Later with the help of other tourists &amp; local support things got escalated. 

Later i found out that the shopkeeper was a Muslim &amp; other shopkeeper were also from my community. 
As a muslim i felt ashamed &amp; as a lady myself, i can feel for her (the lady tourist just like me). It could have been me in her very first place. 

It was nothing new for them, as such things kept on happening every day in the market. 

As a lady, i was furious too after hearing it out but i couldn’t take a stand for her &amp; soon later i along with my friends left the market as it didn’t feel safe there. 

Now, if we can’t criticize the act by our own community members, then how can we think that other community people will feel good about us?
Maybe that’s why.. all hindus are hostile against the whole muslim community. 

I just want that we Muslims should take a stand for our religion but at the same time should also have the courage to stand up against the wrong.

Whenever one uses Hindu scriptures to display discrepancies in the Hindu religion, Hindus quickly claim that scriptures mean nothing and a Hindu can believe or worship whoever he/she wants to believe in or worship.

Then, they ban beef and cry about conversions.
I am now convinced that most Hindus are completely clueless of their own religion/scripture and such conversions are partially their own faults.

When was the last time a Hindu got into a debate regarding Hinduism and didn't get wrecked? 

Muslims are always open for discussions and Christians also have room for such discussions.

Hindus, in such discussions, often either discuss about everything else other than Hinduism or behave in a dodgy manner by simply rejecting their own scriptures instead of defending them.

Anyone who wishes to find the truth knows that following a religion simply because their parents followed it isn't reason enough.

However, not hating on Hindus. Solution is, learn your own religion, have scholars debate and preach and at the very least, try to discuss about Hinduism for 2 minutes without using whataboutery towards Islam.
